• your hardest sentenceThe sentence that will slow a reader most, with the reason — too long, say, or several uncommon words in a row.
• a check on weak modifiersA rating for the verys, justs and reallys in your writing, with the first few examples from your own passage.
• each sense on its ownFast the adjective (quick) keeps different company than fast the verb (to abstain from food). Its noun and adverb split the same way — so you get four different meanings, and four distinct sets of neighbors.
